"We purchased our home part-way through its construction. This made our home a “semi-custom” project for Mountain Legacy, as we asked for a number of interior and exterior changes to the specs for the home. Mark Sluder was amenable to most of these changes and they were carried out in a professional and quality manner.
As this was our first experience with new builds, a number of times Mark and Lucas needed to educate us on the ins and outs of new construction and explain (patiently, I might add) how our concerns and questions could be managed. We were able to review the finishes already planned or ordered and found them to be similar to or better than those we would have chosen ourselves. As Emily Sluder is an interior designer, we worked with her to choose the finishes that had not already been finalized.
Overall, working with Mark and Lucas was a great experience which MLB made easier with their expertise. We were able to move in as planned and are extremely satisfied with the end results. We recommend Mountain Legacy Builders to anyone who wants to work directly with a family oriented builder who will create, together with you, the quality home you desire."

Thank you for a beautiful home! Building a house is not easy, even when you are just the homeowners! We have built a few houses in the past, so we braced ourselves. What we learned was if we build again, we would have Mark and Kevin build our next home…And we have never said that before of any builder! It is not easy to trust when you’ve had bad experiences in the past, but every time we started to question and then did our homework to compare, we learned Mark was being honest and fair and in most cases more than fair. Additionally, our project manager, Kevin, was stellar! The homebuilding industry should set the standard by Kevin’s work ethic and attitude. The minute we saw a finished BRC home we could tell quality was important to Black Rock Construction. That didn’t change with our house—we couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and our beautiful home overall! Thank you Mark, Kevin and team!
